An experienced and connected business leader has been appointed to the helm of the Zoo and Aquarium Association, Australasia (ZAA).
The ZAA Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Nicola Craddock as the industry association’s new Executive Director.
Mr Kevin Tanner, President of the ZAA Board, said: “Nicola Craddock was the outstanding candidate in a large field of excellent applicants.
“Nicola brings a wealth of experience from a range of roles operating across Australia and New Zealand. Her most recent position was as the Chief Commercial Officer for Roadshow Films, a division of Village Roadshow Ltd. Her roles have included strategic business development, operations, stakeholder management, financial management, advocacy, environmental sustainability, marketing and strategy.
“In the past, Nicola has worked with WWF’s Earth Hour to take the program from being an Australian-only initiative to a global campaign. Other roles where she has contributed to social responsibility have included teaching ethics at schools and volunteer programs, WWF projects and fundraising for the Starlight Foundation.
“The ZAA Board is extremely pleased that Nicola has accepted this critical leadership role for the Association and looks forward to working with her to harness a range of opportunities and produce excellent strategic and operational outcomes for the zoo and aquarium sector in Australasia,” Mr Tanner said.
Nicola has a Master’s degree of Business Administration (MBA) from the Australian Graduate School of Management, UNSW, and enjoys bushwalking, sailing and environmental conservation.
